After the outbreak of the Arab Spring uprising, anti-government rebels on the island of Cyprus have taken control of the southern portion of the island. The frontline stretches just north of the Troodos mountains where rebel forces are closing in on the capital of Nicosia. Due lack of trained pilots and aircraft, the US based private military contractor Draken International has been hired to provide the Cyprus government with air support.
