This is a randomized mission setting on the Kola peninsula.
It is part of a mission series. OP Norther Spear is a follow up series of OP Northern Star.
In this mission you will fly scout missions at the border to Russia. Your Task is to find and destroy enemy Special forces infiltrating the finnish border region.
At the moment there are 7 missions, that will randomly spawn, each time you load the mission.
At the moment the mission is:
- hot start
- easy coms
- no voiceovers
- no kneeboards
This might change in the future, this is the first version and I need your feedback.

Welcome to OP Nothern Spear
This mission creates randomized missions for Scout and attack along the border to Russia.
Fly either as a british Gazelle pilot or a US OH-58 pilot.
Today we reppell small russian groups of special forces entering the finnish territory.
Since the last winter things escalated further.
The russians have deployed more armor along the border and we are now in a full blown conflict. There is no more probing with small units. We have a full scale war and russia is attacking with heavy armor along the finnish border.
Nato troops are deployed along the border, finnish, german and norwegian troops.
The russian air defence is heavy in the area around the border.
You will be provided with target information through CHAINSAW.
Ready the helicopters and wait for orders.
