RNLAF F-16AM J-197 'Farewell Falcon'
Dear all, Thank you for clicking on this livery. The Farewell Falcon is a iconic livery from the RNLAF to say goodbye to a special aircraft, the F-16 Fighting Falcon will hold a special place in the heart of the RNLAF.
I had some left over time on my hands in the period when they said goodbye to the F-16 at the RNLAF, and i was inspired to create my own version of this livery for DCS for fun and out of honour for this beautiful aircraft. I have spend a bit of time creating my own nozzle textures to replicate the PW engines the RNLAF use, I have also replicated the reinforcement plates found on the F16's, Sadly with less time on my hand i wasnt able to finish them all but most of them are there. I have spend hours on weathering and roughmets to try and get it as realistic as possible to the real plane, and also worked on adding the small details. I'm happy with how it turned out, but please keep in mind that it is not fully 1:1 al tough i did do my best to replicate it.
I used reference from public posts showing the farewell falcon and its design.
Updates may occur if i find the need to.
