A generic, late war, blank skin for mission builders, etc. Codes and serials can be assigned by the player in the mission editor.
Standard Day Fighter scheme of Dark Green and Ocean Grey over Medium Sea Grey, with Night spinner and no fuselage ID band, as featured on aircraft serving with 2TAF in the last few months of the war. Type III nationality markings worn in all six positions as of post January, 1945.
Code letters in Sky, and serials in Night.
Most Spitfires serving in NW Europe in 1945 were late model Mk.IX and Mk.XVI, with the type "E" wing - 2x 20mm + 2x .50 cal. I have tried to simulate this by changing the .303 gun patch textures to match the appearance of the outboard wing leading edge. Should resemble an E wing from a distance.
Unzip the file and place the folder into your \DCS World\CoreMods\WWII Units\SpitfireLFMkIX\Liveries\SpitfireLFMkIXCW folder. Choose UK or Canada as your country to use this skin.
You can use the Mission Editor to add codes and serial numbers to the skin, with the first three digits entered being the large letter codes, and the last 5 digits being the small black serial number. So for a Spitfire marked HC-G, serial BS734, you would enter "HCGBS734" into the mission editor.
