In an unexpected rise in hostilities breakaway factions of the Greek and Turkish Cypriot armies have started tit for tat targeting of basic infrastructure. Turkey is now on the verge of a major sea based annexation of Lamarca, there are however basic air defenses in place which need to be nullified before the port can be taken.
Your mission is simple, take out the air defenses labelled SLUMP after negotiating your way through some well hidden infantry whilst flying low to avoid radar detection. This mission is specifically for rotor pilots who wish to explore the use of the Kord Gunner, which is essential for getting through to the designated targets with rockets and ATGM still available for the harder armored targets. I tried to find a balance between playability for those intimidated by use of the Kord Gunner with the needs of hardened rotor pilots looking for a challenge. I did try to set the enemy to advanced but due to AI limitations in DCS, headshots from 3km away are not uncommon and it really sucks the fun out of it. I've include a short video that shows the methodology employed when using the side gunner.
