It's 6:25AM October 7th, 2023.
You are an Israeli Air Force pilot who was just about to go on a sortie to investigate intelligence reports of large military force movements reported from within the Gaza strip when the air raid sirens began to ring.
Flying the IAF F-15E, F16 or AH-64D Apache, you suddenly find yourself about to be the first in the air to respond to the Hamas invasion of Israeli settlements.
Utilizing liveuamap.com, I've put quite a bit of effort into recreating many of the events of the October 7th attack. Many of the same locations that the engagements occurred in real life are represented within the mission. Some locations of assets, attacks or engagements are down to the exact building or street corner while other events within the mission have been altered to provide a better DCS experience.
This mission was designed with replayability in mind, there are likely too many events happening at once for you to properly tend to them all by yourself so you decide what events you wish to react to in this hectic scenario. Scripted mission events occur across the span of approx. 2 hours & will notify the player when it is time to RTB.
The mission can be played in SP or if you wish to play MP, use the mission editor to change your flight's wingman to a client instead of AI.
You can also fly the UH-60L to conduct troop transport tasks but this is not the main goal and is more so to be used as a side venture or if playing the mission with multiple people.
This mission will eventually become apart of a longer campaign that follows the events of the war.
