Semi Historical Mission: 18 February 2023. In recent weeks senior Syrian Arab Army officers and prominent scientists have been meeting in secret. Mossad reports that their aim is to create a training programme to accelerate weapons development and production. The creation of this programme is being covertly assisted by forces from Iran. A key enemy individual, Brigadier General Sharaf al-Muhandis is meeting tonight with Hezbollah agents in apartment building in the Kafr Sousa district in central Damascus.
Your F-16c squadron has been tasked with carrying out a daring, night-time, surgical strike on the building to put an end to the programme.
Damascus is protected by an extensive Surface to Air Missile (SAM) network. The primary threat is an Iranian built Mersad battery located near An Nasiriyah. Mersads are reverse engineered MIM HAWK SAMs and are a potent weapon.
Enemy air threat is minimal due to low training levels and a limited ability to operate fighters safely and effectively in contested airspace.
Your squadron, the 101st Fighter Squadron, will suppress the Mersad SAM site before striking several key targets across Damascus.
You are Wolf 31, the jet assigned to destroy the target building. Timing is critical as you will need to make sure all the enemy forces are in the building before you hit it.
This mission is based on an actual IAF mission and was made after compiling images, video and news reports about the strike. Target locations and timings are as close as possible to the real mission flown.
