Established in 1970, the 425th Fighter Aviation Regiment ‘Blackwidows’ would be established prompted by poor performance of Yuktobanian supplied aircraft to foreign allies on the Verusean continent.

The Squadron using a collection of MiG-23 and MiG-21 fighters would simulate Osean and Emmerian F-4 and later F-15 and F-16 fighters in simulated dog fights. The training the 425th provided to the Yuktobanian Air Forces being credited with their successes later during the cold-war and then in 1995 during the Belkan War. Following that and the adoption of Belkan trained aircrews, the 425th was forced into an auxiliary role until after the 2010 Circum-Pacific war with Osea.

Today the squadron still operates out of the deserts of Jilachi as a feared aggressor unit of the Yuktobanian military.

Established in the late 1940’s, the 23rd Bomb Squadron ‘Bomb Bats’ would be Osea’s fist when the time for strategic - or nuclear-  bombing was required. They would live up to their nocturnal name during the still controversial Hoffnung Raid in 1995 during the Belkan War, where the Squadron, as well as others, helped lay the industrial city to waste with over a million and a half pounds of explosives dropped on the city.

During the Circum-Pacific War, the Bomb Bats conducted critical interdiction missions, targeting Yuktobanian supply lines and command centers with devastating effect. Their legacy continues, with the squadron’s skilled aviators ready to deliver precision strikes and project Osean air power across the globe.

Today, the Bats still serve as a symbol of Osea’s Long-Range strategic strike capacity. No matter the time or place - the Bomb Bats will be there.

The KC-135 Stratotanker, introduced in 1957, was the U.S. Air Force’s first jet-powered aerial refueling aircraft, revolutionizing long-range air operations. Developed from the Boeing 367-80 prototype, it featured four turbofan engines and a flying boom system for efficient mid-air refueling. Under Strategic Air Command (SAC), the KC-135 became the backbone of U.S. nuclear deterrence, ensuring bombers like the B-52 could remain airborne for extended missions, increasing global strike capability. During the Cold War, SAC relied on a constant airborne presence, with KC-135s enabling bombers to stay aloft as part of Operation Chrome Dome. Beyond nuclear operations, the KC-135 supported conventional forces in Vietnam, the Gulf War, and modern conflicts, refueling fighters, bombers, and reconnaissance aircraft worldwide. As SAC dissolved in 1992, its refueling role transitioned to Air Mobility Command, and upgraded KC-135s continue serving today, ensuring global reach for U.S. airpower

The 324th Tactical Fighter Squadron ‘Skullcatchers’ was a vital component of Osea’s forward-deployed airpower in the Usean Theatre during the mid 1960’s through the early 1990s. Flying the well known F-4E Phantom II, the Skullcatchers specialized in multi-role missions from air superiority and close air support to precision strikes against hardened targets.

During various border conflicts the squadron was deployed to help contain, they would be recognized for their aggressive tactics, reflected in the units insignia of a skull and bayonet. Despite their countless commendations and distinction for their performance on various high-risk missions, the 324th would be deactivated in 1996 following force-wide budget cuts, which saw the draw-down of many OADF forces in the region.

Established in 1950 as the 195th Fighter Interceptor squadron, the unit would not become the Tanker force it would be known for today until the mid 1960s, when they traded their Mach 2 capable F-104 Starfighters for the far slower four engine C-97 Stratofreighter, and would assist in moving Osean personnel around the world. In 1972, the squadron would change aircraft and missions yet again, this time in the form of the KC-135A Stratotanker. The 195th Air Refueling Squadron has provided a critical backbone to Osean air operations, acting as one of the few Nuclear Mission Capable squadrons until the Osean total disarmament in 2000 as well as flying combat sorties during the 1995 Belkan War and 1997 Usean Coup Detat. During Ulysses planetfall, the 195th was dispatched to transport medical aid to affected areas, and aid in the evacuation of Oseans deployed abroad during the disaster.  As one of the last KC-135 operators within the OADF, its expected the unit will receive the KC-46 by 2030.
