The Label Mod will allow you to see enemy/friendly aircraft as a dot at what I believe to be a realistic range. This modification should work with all modules.
To install:
Find labels.lua here: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\View, back it up, then replace it with the one i've supplied. This mod also works fine with JSGME.
