Operation St. Michael - Iran Playable

This is operation St. Michael from the Iranian perspective. Fly either the MiG 29, MiG 21, or F-5E3.

Iran has seized a Ukranian ship under allegations of illegal activity. The ship also had an American national on board, who is a person of interest to both sides. It is expected the Americans will attempt to recover him.

You will begin on the ground in a state of cockpit readiness. If the Americans come, you will be scrambled into action.

Iran has seized a Ukrainian ship and crew with an American "VIP" aboard. The U.S. government has ordered he be rescued from a facility on Qeshm Island before he can be transferred to the mainland. Your mission as an F-18 pilot is to provide cover for the operation.

I have also made a version of this mission that is playable from the Iranian perspective.

Are you among the many who have watched "Iron Eagle" and thought, "Wow, that's ridiculous!" Well, say no more, because this mission allows you to rewrite the ending of the movie to be a little more realistic.

In this mission, you are a pilot in a (not so small!) middle eastern country. Your mission is to fly the Mirage 2000C on a training sortie, leading a pair of less-experienced pilots.

Of course, your country has oil, so it's only a matter of time before those Americans are "picked up on radar." Your job is to resist American imperialism and to rewrite "Iron Eagle" to have a more realistic ending.

This is the last mission of 'Duke' Mitchell, the father of Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell of Top Gun fame. The mission is another take on the story told by 'Viper' in the movie.

In this mission, you will fly the F-14 over the Persian Gulf in an attempt to protect a diplomatic transport flight departing Iran. However, you cannot cross into Iranian airspace, and Iran isn't about to let the transport go. Can you defend the transport and make it home alive against all odds? Or will little Pete Mitchell grow up without his father, struggling without the knowledge of what happened that tragic day? You will decide.

The mission features random triggers which will adjust difficulty for replay value.

NOTE: This mission has been updated to fix catapult launches. A previous version had an older carrier (Carl Vinson) and pitched some aircraft into the sea. This is now FIXED.

There's no messing around in this mission. You start in the air, and within a few minutes you're in hot against four aggressors flying the F-5. You can also edit the mission to fly the F-5 as an aggressor against the four student F-14s.

The point is to have a really good time while testing your skills in the airspace between Groom Lake and Creech.

This mission is also suited for multiplayer.

In this mission, your favorite pilots from Top Gun (plus a couple others to round out the roster) meet in the skies over Nevada for a fast-paced furball. The student pilots will depart from Creech, and the Aggressors from Groom Lake. The mission ends when one side has crashed and burned. Sorry, there are no points for second place, and the plaque for the alternates is in the ladies' room!

This is a template for those wishing to build 'Top Gun' type scenarios using the A4 (freeware) mod and the F-14.

Please read the notes inside the mission briefing.

Features 8 Aggressors, 12 Students, Groom Lake no-fly zone, Nellis "container" to facilitate mission planning and teamwork, nearly 200 custom triggers, pilot callsigns, skill levels set, and more.

It is expected you will use this template as a base for designing your own missions. However, the mission can instantly be flown as a single-player, stand alone with the F-18 as an aggressor. But don't expect it to be particularly fun, the idea is for you to build your own single player or multiplayer experience.
