This is a homemade C-130J User / Operator Manual for DCS World. It is still very much a prototype and will likely remain an evolving project. I started it because I wanted a manual that explains the aircraft more clearly and in a more structured way than what is currently available in-game.
The manual is written in a Technical Manual / IETM-style format and is based entirely on the DCS implementation of the aircraft. It is free to use, and if nothing else, I’d appreciate people taking a look and sharing what works, what doesn’t, and what could be improved.
This is a personally made operator technical manual prototype for the DCS C-130J.
It is written in a Technical Manual / IETM-style format and is based entirely on the in-game aircraft and systems, not real-world operational use.
The manual is intended to support both new and advanced DCS players by providing structured, system-focused guidance rather than a simple button-press tutorial. In addition to normal procedures, it includes system explanations, operator task procedures, abnormal and emergency procedures, and standardized callout philosophy.
The goal is to help users understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how the aircraft systems interact, while remaining usable as a practical reference during flight.
This manual is:
Built specifically for DCS World
Styled after real IETM / TM structure
Designed for single-player and optional multi-crew use
Provided free as a community learning resource
Disclaimer:
Obviously, this is not an official real-world aircraft manual and is not intended for real-world aviation use.
