SITREP:
It has been brought to our attention, there is a target of opportunity(TOO), in a compound, on an island 3.5nm NW of Al Tabqah. This target needs to be dealt with, as soon as possible, since we have no idea how long they will be at this location.
BRIEF:
CVN-75 Harry S. Truman, is 104nm W of Samardag. You will launch as a flight of F/A-18Cs, destroy the compound, and RTB 'Mother'. Suggested loadouts would be Mk-84s for the compound, or something similar. Don't want anything standing when you leave! Also others should be carrying ords to deal with the SAMs, since they won't take kindly to you being in their airspace! Don't forget something for the potential MiGs that have also been reported in the area. Since fuel may be an issue, make sure to take a centerline fuel tank. Also there will be an S-3B tanker, callsign ARCO, flying an east/west racetrack, off the coast, 13nm N of Samardag.
ENEMY FORCES:
Several SA-19's and SA-3's, guarding the coast of Syria. Also an older Moskva cruiser, waiting off the coast of Tripoli.
There are additional SA-8's and an SA-2 that are also in the area.
WEATHER:
There is a marine layer, over the water, cutting visibility down to about 2 miles. However, the weather clears up several miles inland and visibility should be optimal over the target.
