Iranian Air Force F-14A - Modern Splinter Camo
Installation: No need to unzip the file. You can drag and drop it in your DCS World/CoreMods/aircraft/F14/Liveries/F-14A-135-GR/ folder as is. Should also work on the B model if you want a little more power.
Continuing where I left off, this is an attempt to create a somewhat accurate generic F-14A skin for the IRIAF and their modern splinter camo. I had to made a few educated guesses and some purely uneducated guesses on the placement of some of the camo, as finding good reference material in the US was a bit tough. The skin doesn't have any specific jet numbers or anything so it will look better when multiple planes are using the same skin. I will likely make a few variations of the camos just to give people some variety if flying with them in bigger flights or using them for AI placeholders until Heatblur and their talented skinners bless us with the proper IRIAF version.
As always, it's got the custom pilots, and some updated details from the default template, like the engine line markings on the tail, and the inflatable bags behind the rear of the swing wing mechanism that look to vary in color for the IRIAF. There's a light bit of weathering, with some extra added here and there, but I tried to keep the generic version pretty plain. I also added a custom roughmet for the tails, as at least some images appeared to show the leading edges on the tail surfaces had a reflective surface similar to the wings.
