An early USAF HH-53 approximation livery for the Mi-8
The USAF entered the conflict in SEA with most aircraft in gray or natural metal finish. But in combat, actual camouflage was desired, which led to the SEA theatre camouflage. This camouflage was applied to pretty much every single combat aircraft in the USAF, including the then new HH-53 "Super Jolly Green Giant"
