Following an intense night of Luftwaffe bombing focusing on the defences along the Thames Estuary, a large aerial group has been detected over France and is heading this way.
Once airborne, take a bearing of 100 deg M to Dover and continue over the Channel. The bomber group's course is plotted to fly directly over Calais and is expected to turn West toward the estuary once North of Ramsgate.
Recent sorties have reported heavy air defence along the French coast. You are advised to avoid going too far inland.
Further flights are scrambling from Gravesend to assist.
