We are thrilled to announce the early access release of DCS: Normandy 2, the impressive new 1944 experience by Ugra Media. This meticulously detailed and true-to-life terrain, is a brand new map of Normandy in 1944 offering our latest technology, boasting exceptional detail and realism not yet seen in any WWII combat simulation. To celebrate the release of DCS: Normandy 2.0, we are offering a 50% discount off all DCS WWII Fighters. This offer is valid only until the 21st May 2023 at 15:00 GMT.

We are also delighted to announce the launch of our new Modular Dedicated Server. This new development permits users to install terrains individually via a check-box selector, saving space and offering valuable flexibility to server owners. Please read the Modular Dedicated Server FAQ.

To celebrate the release of DCS: Normandy 2, the 4YA Project Overlord server will be hosting a special map inauguration event recreating a historical B-17 raid on Paris which took place on the 20th of May 1944. Up to 90 players will participate, with the Allies being tasked with providing escort cover for the bombers and Axis players fighting to intercept them in a massive medium to high altitude furball over Paris. Normandy 2.0

In Early Access now

DCS: Normandy 2 is 2.4 x larger than Normandy 1 and uses our latest map technology with our new enhanced lighting engine, object detailing, terrain texture resolution and damage modelling. In addition Ugra Media have done a fantastic job of recreating a vast number of historical buildings, airfields and infrastructure. The early access price of DCS: Normandy 2 is USD 47.99, however, existing owners of DCS: Normandy 1944 or DCS: The Channel can upgrade for only USD 14.99, and owners of both legacy maps pay USD 9.99. Please be aware that this is a limited time offer and as of today, the legacy version of DCS: Normandy 1944 is no longer on offer.

4YA Multiplayer Server

With the release of the stunning DCS: Normandy 2 map by Ugra Media, 4YA is pleased to announce that you will be able to enjoy the new map in all its splendour immediately after release on the 4YA WWII Project Overlord server in a player versus player environment. The 4YA Project Overlord missions focus on historical accuracy, recreating the air battles of the Normandy campaign on a day-to-day basis as realistically as possible. With a passion for history, they utilise original documents to place units at their exact historical location and recreate missions carried out back in 1944. This is your chance to jump into the seat of a young Allied or Axis fighter pilot and relive the Normandy battle from their perspective.

The release of the map goes hand in hand with the new missions designed for the 4YA WWII Project Overlord server and include:

• A larger area offering vastly greater variety in the location of air battles
• New airfields, especially historical airfields used by German units
• New historical ground targets
• New teamwork-dependent mission objectives
