Following last week’s substantial update to DCS World Open Beta 2.5.6, we released a follow up patch. We are now running DCS World Open Beta 2.5.6.54046. We are aware that there are a few issues, notably to the F/A-18C Hornet radar. We look forward to your valuable feedback and thank you in advance for your help.

In order to raise awareness of mental health issues, a 24-hour charity stream will be live with ex-RAF fighter pilot instructor Tactical Pascale. Tactical DCS - We need your help will stream on the 11th of September, tune in.

DCS World

Development Report

Improvements to DCS World core have been made and a shader compilation error that occurred when using high resolution displays has been fixed. New Single missions for DCS: Syria are now available for the A-10C Warthog, Mi-8 Magnificent Eight and Su-27 Flanker.

Combined Joint Task Forces Red and Combined Joint Task Forces Blue were added to the Mission Editor (ME) as countries. As well as United Nations Peacekeepers.

F-14A/B Tomcat

Updates

Considerable updates to DCS: F-14A/B Tomcat:

• New fire and smoke animations for engine fires and compressor stalls (WIP)
• Fixes have been made to Cage the Bear Campaign - thank you Kaba!
• Several fixes to Quickstart missions
• Fixed ARC-159 mode keybindings (guard,manual,preset,inc,dec)
• Jester will set AN/ARC-182 to AM now when starting cold
• Fixed AOA Indexer Brightness step up/down keybindings
