After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Georgia, Abkhazia and South-Ossetia are fighting a bloody war over disputed territories for almost a decade now. The Russians - waging a proxy war - are supplying the Abkahzians and South Ossetians with arms and manpower, while Georgia is asking the help of NATO to solve the situation. Enforce the no fly zone above Gori to prevent Russian aircraft from attacking civilian targets.
--- BACKGROUND
Three days ago South Ossetian forces crossed the border into Georgia and moved towards Gori.
The UN has authorized the allied forces in country to protect the civilian evacuees and had set up a no fly zone above the city, after several reports of Russian and South Ossetian aircraft targeted civilian infrastructure and evacuee convoys.
