The Red Flag 21-1 Campaign is the result of painstaking research on the conduct of modern Large Force Exercises (LFE). Scenarios, procedures, target sites and threats are based on those used in the real Red Flag. Some of the first American airmen to join the air war over Europe were the volunteers of the RAF’s Eagle Squadrons. In 1942 they were transferred to the Mighty Eighth Air Force under the 4th Fighter Group, based in Debden, Essex. The 4th was the first fighter group to penetrate German airspace, the first to escort bombers over Berlin, and led the first shuttle mission from England to Russia. Under the indomitable leadership of Colonel Don Blakeslee, they became the highest scoring unit of the USAAF, destroying 1,016 enemy aircraft in the air and on the ground.

The General Dynamics F-16C ‘Viper’ is a high-performance, single-seat multirole combat aircraft that excels not only as an air superiority fighter, but also in the ground attack, precision bombing, SEAD and reconnaissance roles.
For air-to-air combat the F-16C is armed with AIM-9L/M/P/X Sidewinder missiles, AIM-120B/C AMRAAMs and an internal, six-barrel, M61A-1 20mm Gatling Gun firing 4-6,000 rounds per minute. An advanced airframe and fly-by-wire system mean the Viper can pull 9g, while the F110-GE-129 engine powers it to a maximum speed of more than Mach 2.
The F-15E, developed in the mid 1980's, is a dual-role fighter designed to perform air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. An array of avionics and electronics systems give the F-15E the capability to fight at low or high altitude, day or night, and in all weather. The F-15E is the USAF's premier strike fighter still in use today.
The DCS: World War II Assets Pack provides numerous World War II air, land and sea assets to populate the Normandy and other DCS World maps with. Eagle Dynamics has spent several years creating an entirely new set of combat vehicles to support DCS: World War II, and each unit is created with an exceptional level of detail and accuracy.
These objects are needed to play some missions and campaigns, and can also be used to create your missions through the editor built into DCS World.
