This is a texture based on the 1990's VFA-137 Kestrals CAG aircraft when they were attached to the USS Constellation. Requested by community member Mirkó Egri. Thank you for the opportunity to stretch my legs with a US NAVY F-18. Regrettably I was unable to re-create the fuel tank as faithfully as I had wished. U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School F-16N livery for Eagle Dynamics F-16C Viper. This skin is meant to be representative of the F-16N flown as an aggressor aircraft at TOPGUN during the 80's. VF-202 skin for Heatblur F-14A Tomcat, side number 202. VF-202 was a Naval Reserve Squadron based out of Naval Air Station Dallas in Texas. VF-202, AKA the "Superheats", operated the F-14A from 1987 until the squadron was disestablished in 1994. I have made a few updates to the skin since the F-14B version- adding a proper BuNo, and tweaking the markings for a slightly higher contrast look. UPDATE 7/21: I have updated my two VF-202 skins and combined them into a single pack ...
This skin depicts a Hornet that was actually flown by VFA-106 Gladiators but painted in the colours of VFA-15 "Valions" to commemorate the deactivation of VFA-15 in 2017 after 75 years of service. The colour scheme is in the style of the A-7E Corsairs that VFA-15 flew prior to transitioning to the Hornet. The inner surfaces of both vertical tails bare the names and dates of command of every C.O. of the "Valions" during that 75 years. This Hornet was used as an air ...
