This aircraft was on display at Kellogg Field, Battle Creek Michigan in this livery. It is now unclear if this aircraft was 49 or 53-1096. Little information exists on this specific jet. It may presently be on display at Selfridge ANGB. Either way, please enjoy this Sabre jet! This F-86A Sabre was allocated to Col Francis "Gabby" Gabreski during his first tour of duty in Korea as C.O. of the 4th Fighter Wing. Gabreski had been the highest scoring American ace of the ETO in WW2 and would go on to become an ace in Korea with 3.5 kills I created this skin for the Hornet Productions DCS movie "Gabby". This F-86A Sabre was allocated to Capt. James Jabara during his first tour of duty in Korea. Jabara would go on to become the first jet ace with 15 kills to his credit.
