In the 1960s, the Guatemalan Air Force used 30 F-51D Mustang as strike aircraft and basic interceptor, supplied from surplus US stocks. The service period was from 1954 to the early 1970s.
Fuerza Aerea de Nicaragua (National Guard) purchased 26 P-51D Mustangs from Sweden in 1954 and later received 30 P-51D Mustangs from the U.S. together with two TF-51 models from MAP after 1954. All aircraft of this type were retired from service by 1964.
The Uruguayan Air Force used 25 P-51D Mustangs from 1950 to 1960; some were subsequently sold to Bolivia.
