A no-frills ACLS trainer in questionable weather.
You are 50 miles southwest of the USS George Washington. Contact them for a Cat III approach, setup your plane, and do it over and over again until you could do it in your sleep.

You MUST use ATC properly. Established is when you are on the proper final approach course headed towards the carrier. Commencing is when you're leaving the (non-existent) stack and starting your approach, should be at about 21 DME. Platform is when you are established or passing through 5,000' on the way, at which point the computer will give you a command altitude of 1,200' and ROD of 2,000 fpm. Check-in is when the lady (who is an actual USN Officer and ATC) says "switch approach". The last call is "hornet ball" at 3/4 of a mile final.
