An open-world sandbox (PvP/ PvE) between Turkish and Greek/Cypriot forces.
This should be the last update of this mission after plenty of multiplayer testing to weed out the last issues...
The mission now includes predeployed JTACs (for both sides), spawnable and Skynet integrated NASAMS, as well as several more targets to destroy and objectives to complete.
Tensions between Greek and Turkish Cypriots have once again begun to flare up, as Turkey begins to tap into oil and gas reserves recently discovered by Tüpraş off the northern and eastern coast of Cyprus.
This has sparked outrage amongst the ethnically Greek population, as they see the move as nothing more than the plunder of Cyprus' resources by the Turks, still occupying the northern third of the island some three decades after Turkish troops first landed on Cyprian soil, during the 1974 invasion.
Turkey has since deployed an additional division to the island, stating its troops stand ready to defend their citizens from any reprisals by Greek Cypriot Nationalists intent on inflicting harm.
The Greeks have responded in kind by stationing a squadron of Mirage fighters to the Island, as well as deploying several fast attack craft to patrol Cyprian waters in an effort to deter any further Turkish oil exploration.
The United Nations has since called for calm and has urged both sides to deescalate the situation and stop the provocations towards one another. However, UN forces stationed on the island are stretched thin and barely able to man the many checkpoints along the Green Line, leaving the door open for confrontation between the longtime adversaries...
