This skin depicts a Hornet that was actually flown by VFA-106 Gladiators but painted in the colours
of VFA-15 "Valions" to commemorate the deactivation of VFA-15 in 2017 after 75 years of service.
The colour scheme is in the style of the A-7E Corsairs that VFA-15 flew prior to transitioning to the Hornet.
The inner surfaces of both vertical tails bare the names and dates of command of every C.O. of the "Valions"
during that 75 years.
This Hornet was used as an air display aircraft by the US Navy's Tactical Demonstration unit during 2017 and
several videos of it can be found on YouTube.
