Your Spit is battle damaged and has lost most of its fuel.. You are directed to land on a temporary strip.
You commence about 4.5 n.m. from strip at 2,000'. Strip is marked with a line of haystacks along each side and a smoke marker on the extended centre line about 400 yds. beyond the far end. Wind is in your favour at 9 kn. It will require skill and experience to get your plane safely on the ground. Vital information as to strip orientation, length, wind etc. is given in the Mission Briefing window, along with a view taken on short final approach to help you recognise it.
TIPS:
1. Read briefing and examine approach photo.
2. Lower undercarriage well before touchdown to wash off speed. If necessary use flaps for a few seconds to help.
3. Set the wheel brakes on a fraction before landing to aid in braking on the ground.
4. .Cross threshold low at about 110 k. with flaps down.
