As a response to our involvement in the Ukrainian crisis and in Syria, the Georgians have commenced an operation to destabilize southern Russia. With the help of the Ukrainian HUR MOU, the Georgians have smuggled insurgents and weapons across the border. Recently, tensions have escalated after a Mi-8 was shot down while on patrol along the border with Georgia. This signals a new phase of operations to provide MANPADS, meant to provide the insurgents protection against Russian aircraft. Therefore, the grouping at Mozdok has been strengthened to show the Georgians that any threat will be met with force.

A high profile meeting is taking place between the leaders of the insurgency in one of their mountain hideouts. Striking it will deal damage to their numbers and morale, but it will also show them that hiding in the mountains will not protect them from our air raids.
A group of SPETZNAS conducted a night jump yesterday and is ready to provide assistance if necessary. They should only be used as a last resort because extracting them will be extremely dangerous if their positions are revealed. (Using them will deduct points)
Be advised, AAA and possibly MANPADS are present in the area. We will inform you of any updates enroute. You will be given the maximum amount of flares, so use them liberally.
Do not cross the border under any circumstances. Else, the Georgians will gladly have a reason to shoot you down.
TASK FOR SU-25 FLIGHT:
Conduct a strike against a group of militants (50 to a 100), using bombs and rockets, in coordination with a SU-34 flight.
FLIGHT PROFILE: altitude 5,000 – 6,000 m., airspeed – 600 km/h.
EXECUTION:
Take off and proceed to waypoint 3.
As you approach, a team of Special Forces will mark the target area with smoke.
You are to determine the attack altitude and direction.
Since the target is covered by trees, engage the general area between the smokes.
(IMPORTANT: To get your wingman to engage the area marked by smoke, use F10, engage primary and rejoin or engage primary and RTB)
Engage until command informs you of sufficient damage.
(Again, use the special forces through the F10 menu only if necessary)
When sufficient damage is inflicted, RTB or engage the secondary air defense targets with guns or rockets. (This is optional and will not count towards mission success due to the high risk)
