A single mission in Syria as a Russian Air Force Pilot. Tasked with eliminating ISIL from a village and an attack on ISIL Artillery. Radio Triggers and voiceovers included. Short and fun!
Ground
The target area is about 26 KM from Aleppo and is a mixture of lowland farmland and surroundings hills. The ground elevation ranges between 3000-400 metres. There is minimal cover for the approach.
Situation
ISIL have extended their foothold South East of Aleppo and we have intelligence that they have an artillery battery (Target 2). The firebase is located 11 KM East of the town of Al Safirah, on the Northern shore of the lake. They are launching long range indirect fire attacks on Syrian villages to the South of their location. We have also been informed that ISIL have infiltrated a village South East of Al Safirah Military Base (Target 1).
Mission
Task an airstrike on the village marked as Target 1. Watch for fleeing vehicles and mop up any enemy.
Destroy x4 SPH 2S3 Akatsia artillery units. Radio Sputnik 5 to attack from the North East to assist you.
Execution
Stage One – Proceed to Waypoint 1 and hold in hover facing North. A ground asset will mark your holding position with blue smoke. They will also mark the edge of the village with red smoke. Call Moscow 21 and they will carpet bomb the entire village. Watch for any fleeing vehicles and take them out. Overfly the village (Target 1) and confirm no enemy present.
Stage Two- Proceed to Target 2 (Enemy Artillery). Observe the area from maximum range and prioritise AAA targets, then destroy x4 SPH 2S3 Akatsia Artillery units. You can radio local special forces (Sputnik 5) at anytime to assist. They have 4 AFVs hidden to the North West. Overfly the area and mop up any remaining enemy before returning to base.
