Representing the Spitfire Mk XVIe's flown by the South African Airforce to train pilots for the Korean War.
This skin pack represents the Spitfire MkXVIe's stationed at AFB Langebaanweg, flown by the Air Operations School (Later 85 Combat Flying School), operated by pilots of 1 Squadron, South African Airforce in 1953.
These aircraft where used to train aircrew for the Korean War. The Air Operations School was an early "aggressor" concept. The Spitfires were used to mimic Yak-9 fighters that where expected to be faced over the skies of Korea. The pilots of 2 Squadron eventually ended up operating the F-51D Mustang loaned to them by the USAF.

There are two liveries included. The Red Nose for the Standard Spitfire MkIX and the Blue Nose for the Clip Wing version.
2021 - Upd ated the LUA to allow the Liveries to be used in any nation.

Unzip the file. The File Structure should be se t for a CoreMods folder for a Direct Copy and Paste.
