Well, you guys are gonna hate me, but I found another issue. The anti-submarine helo was depth charging itself to death. It only happens quite late in the mission, and only if the submarine manages to dive. So, unfortunately, I only just notice the problem. It's corrected now though. Let me know if you find any more issues.
A small multiplayer mission for the Persian Gulf that should put a lot less stress on your system than my usual missions :P Can also be played in single player and can be won from either side. Blue side units are Hornets, Harriers, Mirages, Warthogs, Viggens, Gazelles and Huey's. Red side has Tigers, Fishbeds, Fulcrums, Frogfoots, Blacksharks, Hips and Huey's. Helo's can collect supplies from ammo depots and can also pick up troops from friendly oil & gas platforms. (Including Gazelles)
As always, I highly recommend downloading the livery pack. Just unzip, then drop & drag or use JSGME. (86MB)
After President Trump slapped Iran with yet another round sanctions, the Iranian government has vowed to close the Strait of Hormuz to all westbound shipping.
Trump has since decided to test Teheran's resolve and has ordered the 5th Fleet, currently stationed in the Persian Gulf to exercise their right of navigation and traverse the Straits. A move that critics are calling a deliberate attempt to incite yet another Middle Eastern war.
The Iranian government has since stated that until the sanctions are lifted, they will fire upon any US warship entering Iranian territorial waters, and will seize any commercial shipping that attempts to ignore the closure.
The President, however, views Tehran's threats as spurious at best and stated in this mornings press conference that the Iranians have neither the will nor the way of challenging the might of the US and her allies.
Whether Tehran will actually call Trump's bluff and attempt to fire upon US warships has yet to be seen, but the presidents move to involve the navy has only served to heighten tensions in what has already been deemed an extremely volatile situation.
