F/A-18C Hornet VFA-87 mid 2000s

This F-18 depicts a line jet of VFA-87 from the early to mid 2000s. It has the new style indian in grey but still sports the yellow and red warpaint on the cheek. Pilot patches and fuel tank are included. The livery was created in 8k to allow maxium detail. Many thanks to megalax who rebuilt the F-18 template in 8k. VFA-87 Golden Warriors

In February 2014, VFA-87 and CVW-8 embarked aboard CVN-77 deployed to the Fifth Fleet Area of Responsibility in support of National Command Authority tasking. VFA-87 returned to Naval Air Station Oceana, Nov. 14, 2014, following its successful nine month deployment conducting combat operations.
