This livery accurately depicts the Mustang NZ2423 that has been recently restored in New Zealand by the Biggin Hill Historic Aircraft Centre at RNZAF Base Ohakea. Picture this; it's the year 2024 and a fierce conflict is raging from the Caucasus to the Middle East. In November 1998 the New Zealand Government made the decision to lease 28 F-16 A/Bs to replace the A-4K Skyhawks of 2 and 75 Squadron. However, with a subsequent change in Government, in early 2000 a decision was made to cancel the lease, and further disband New Zealand's Air Combat Wing in December 2001. Here I present a livery representing NZ2337, YC-F, 75 SQN RNZAF. This is a representation of the the second Mosquito to roll out of Avspecs LTD, located in New Zealand. In 1970 the RNZAF received the first of it's A-4K Skyhawks that would serve with 2, 14 and 75 SQN until December 2001. This livery in particular is created based on the official finishing scheme, Euro 1, around the late 80s and includes custom weathering, decals and correct paint for 2 SQN RNZAF's NZ6209.
