The 210th Airlift Squadron ‘Rhinos’ is a unique unit within the Air Defense Force. While the concept of a Total Force Unit isn't unheard of, or particularly rare within the Air Force Reserve, the 210th has a unique status of one of the few AFRC/ANG Joint Squadrons. While the aircraft, IL-76MDs, are owned by the host-state of North Gate, the Airmen who work and fly the jets are both in the Guard or Reservist components, with a small handful of active-duty personnel.
