Ace Combat inspired livery for the E-2 Hawkeye

The Circum Pacific War had an significant impact on all the units that were involved. at least a dozen Osean Air Force and Navy Squadrons would be entirely wiped or rendered combat ineffective by war's end. One such squadron that narrowly missed this status was VAW-117 Wolfpack.
Fr om the start of the conflict the Squadron was beset by losses, in September half of the Squadrons aircraft and a quarter of its officers and Enlisted would be killed when the OFS Vulture was sunk in a Yuktobanian missile attack. Misfortune would follow the survivors onto their next ship, the OFS Barbet, wh ere in the waning hours of the war, the Carrier and over eighty percent of her crew would be lost.
By war's end, the Wolfpack had been reduced to Eight Officers, twenty five enlisted and two E-2 Hawkeyes.
The OMDF Admiralty opted to rotate the Squadron into the Fleet Replacement air wing, and by 2015, VAW-117 had been reassigned to the newly launched OFS Barbet along with the 23rd Carrier Air Wing.
Ever since, the Wolfpack has set a standard of excellence in Airborne Command and Control, Participating in multiple cruises and even a 'chopped' deployment to relieve its old carrier air wing aboard the OFS Vulture following the end of the Circum Pacific War.
Since the Vultures return in 2021, the Wolfpack has returned to its normal AEW duties aboard the Barbet.
