Ace Combat inspired livery for the F/A-18C Hornet

While some operations commanders may prefer finesse in the realm of Electronic Warfare, the service record of Electronic Attack Squadron 137 is undeniable proof of the effectiveness in brute force tactics.
Established in 2009, the Rooks would not see any combat in the Circum-Pacific war until late in the conflict, flying EW patrols in southwestern Osea. It wouldn't be until 2014 while on a shore deployment to Yuktobania that the Rooks would see combat first hand. In the early days of the war as Emmerian forces retreated, the RES Invincible and its fleet strayed close to Yuktobanian territorial waters. The Rooks would be deployed to intercept the fleet, however an Emmerian E-2 would mark the unarmed Growlers as Estovakian Su-33 Flankers and vector the F-14s from the 22nd Fighter Squadron to intercept and destroy the threat. Under fire the Rooks would immediately become defensive, further agitating the Emmerians until Yuktobanian Air Force reinforcements arrived and caused the Tomcats to retreat. The incident would be dismissed later with disciplinary actions taken against the Emmerian crew for the near geopolitical mistake.
In 2018 the Rooks would replace VAQ-102 as CVW-23s Electronic Attack asset aboard the OFS Barbet.
During the lighthouse war, the Rooks would help the Barbet patrol the north Pacific, then in a back to back deployment In late 2020, following the end of the Lighthouse War, the Rooks would be chopped to support the OFS Vultures cruise in Southwest Usea, before returning to CVW-23 in 2021.
