Mission Briefing:

A SOF unit have been working undercover in the Gelendzhik dockyards for the past month monitoring and documenting a large shipment of chemical weapons concealed as regular cargo, intended on being moved out of country via cargo ship to an unknown destination in the Western parts of the Black Sea, believed to be somewhere between Bulgaria and Turkey.

The SOF unit had confirmed that the weapons were loaded onto the Russian vessel Ivanov in the port of Gelendzhik 1 day ago, scheduled for departure in 3 days.
The plan was to stop the vessel once it was in open seas, confiscate it's illicit cargo, and apprehend those involved.

At some point over night, under the cover of dark and the current storm conditions, the Ivanov snuck out of port, and made sail.
Officials are now scrammbling to find the whereabouts of the Ivanov before the ship disappears and reaches it's unknown destination.

The Ivanov was last seen leaving Gelendzhik heading towards the East to West shipping lane in the Black Sea.
As of early this morning, there are several Aircraft and helo's conducting a search of areas on the Eastern parts of the Black Sea, but are hindered by the current bad weather.
Rattler flight is to aid in the search.

Rattler flight will head to Waypoint 1 at angels 24000. From waypoint 1, Rattler flight is to descend below cloud cover  and conduct search operations on the shipping lanes between waypoint 1 (East), waypoint 2 (central) and waypoint 3 (west).

If the Ivanov is located, Rattler flight is to contact Operations, and report the coordinates and heading of the vessel, so that necessary steps can be taken to intercept it.

Included in your kneeboard are photographs taken of the Ivanov by the SOF unit just 1 day before it's unscheduled departure.
It is imperative that the Ivanov is correctly PID'd.
A map of the shipping lanes is also included in your kneeboard.

The vessel and it's shipment must be found and stopped at all costs.

Operations will provide any further instructions as the situation develops.

There is a high possibility of Russian aircraft operating in the area as well. Do not engage or provoke Russian aircrafts unless there is a show of aggression.

A flight of Tomcat's will be on station in the area to provide air support as needed, accompanied by an E2D AWAKS.

Tankers KC135 Arco 6-1, and recovery tanker S3B Texaco 8-1 will be on station as needed.

Weather conditions are severe. Rain and poor visibility. Cloud ceiling is at roughly 10,000ft, visibility is between 3-5km, and strong winds within 20-43kts Easterly, between 30 to 1600 ft, and 20-30kts between 6600 to 26000 ft. Winds are Westerly at 26000ft.
