Briefing:
Today, at 7:00, enemy artillery strikes at the border settlements and strategic positions of the allied forces in the Tskhinvali region. Presumably, in a short time, an assault on our positions will be carried out in order to intercept control over supply nodes, railways and highways, as well as the possibility of deploying long-range SAM systems in the most inconvenient positions for our aviation.
Communication with our troops in the area has been lost.
The direction of the enemy's strike is still unknown, but the main target will probably be the checkpoint of the Tskhinvali-Beslan road passing through the mountain range (square MM17), as well as the nearby settlements. The presence of enemy air forces has not yet been confirmed.
It is necessary at all costs to hold these positions and push the enemy back. All possible ground forces and short-range SAM systems in the zone have already been concentrated in key points to maintain effective defense, but without aviation support, the chances of success are extremely small.
Four Su-25 flights of the "Spear" group have already passed pre-flight preparations and are ready to fly into the zone of the intended enemy strike to provide air fire support for ground forces. Their callsigns are 131st. and the 133rd.
Also, towards the checkpoint from the north along the gorge, the 7th mobile support group is moving to help the Tskhinvali garrison.
Your call signs 116. and 117th. You will be providing air cover in the area. You will be supported by the Su-27 flight - call signs 151st and 152nd, they are moving from the Beslan airfield to the operation zone.
It is highly discouraged for all groups involved in the operation to deviate more than 25 km in the south-southeast direction directly from the operation area. Long-range enemy SAM have been confirmed.
