The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) celebrated 20 years of F/A-18 operations in 2005. Serial A21-26 was given a colourful paint scheme and performed a flying display at the Australian International Airshow 2005. The display pilot also wore a specially painted helmet to compliment the paint scheme. It was the Commanding Officers aircraft of 2OCU during 2005.
In 2006, the airframe was transferred to No. 75 Sqn. The markings were slightly changed when it arrived, receiving the No. 75 Sqn Magpie spine flash and deleted squadron crests. The name of the then Commanding Officer of Air Combat Group (The entity in charge of all fighter squadrons) was also placed below the windshield. It participated in sorties and exercises with the squadron until it was transferred back to 2OCU and subsequently repainted to standard markings a few months later.
This package includes two schemes:
-Australian Hornet 20 Years
-Australian 75th Squadron Hornet 20 Years
