This is a FICTIONAL scenario. The F-14B was NOT in Vietnam. It was the A model.<br /><br />
The F-14A DID fly CAP during the evacuation of Saigon. Two squadrons were deployed with the F-14 to Vietnam - VF-1 and VF-2. The did NOT see combat.<br /><br />
This is just a "what-if" scenario where 4 Tomcats (2 flights) are escorting a strike package of A-4s to hit an airfield. All A-4s are AI controlled.<br /><br />

Alpha Strike - Kutaisi Airfield<br /><br />
First Operational Deployment of the F-14 Tomcat - 1975 - VF-1 Squadron<br /><br />
<br /><br />
VF-1 - Wolfpack - Will provide top cover to the strike and SEAD groups.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
VA-163 - The Saints - Strike group has bee tasked with attacking the Vietnamese airfield. They will hit the fuel stores and parked aircraft.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
VMA-311 - Tomcats - SEAD flight tasked with keeping the SA-2 SAM units down.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
Enemy air activity is expected to be moderate especially for some CAP flights further up north. Keep in touch with AWACS.
