This is an update to correct errors and improve attacking AAA at the harbor. This mission is an update to the original Battle of Cherbourg by Markindel. Fly with a wingman to Cherbourg, France (Normandy Map) to participate in the battle to capture Cherbourg Harbor, vital to the Allies for logistic support following D-Day.
D+30 and the 3rd Reich forces are mounting a fierce defense to prevent the vital harbor from falling into the Allies' control. Your mission will be directed in part by on-scene ground controller. Rearm and refuel as required at nearby Maupertus Airfield. Lots of battle action from naval bombardment and Allied armor.
