This F-86F Sabre was flown by future Mercury astronaut, and US Senator, John Glenn. In 1953 Glenn was a Major in the Marine Corps and had already completed one combat tour flying F9F Panthers. He joined the 25thFS of the 51stFW as an exchange pilot and shot down three Migs in the last two weeks of the war. However as an exchange pilot his victories are not recorded in theUSAF's official records for the 51stFW.

This Sabre was an F-86F-10 allocated to Capt Harold Fischer of the 39th Fighter Squadron of the 51st Fighter Wing.

Fischer was the second highest scoring ace with the 51stFW, having 10 aerial victories.

This Sabre was flown by Col. W. B. Wilmot during his time as C.O. of the 8th Fighter Bomber Wing, operating from Suwon AB in early 1953.

The tail design incorporates the colours of the three squadrons that comprised the 8thFBW.

This Sabre was allocated to 2nd Lt Jim Thompson as part of the 51stFW 39thFS
in the spring of 1953. It had been flown by various pilots prior to this.
He used it to down two Mig 15's in May and June of that year.

The first Mig he shot down had a large dragon painted on it and
US intelligence determined it had probably been flown by a high
ranking Russian pilot.

As a result the fighters asst crew chief, Sgt J W "Bill" Manney, painted
the large dragon on the aircraft to commemorate the victory.

This Hornet depicts the CAG F/A-18C of VFA-192 "World Famous Golden Dragons" as it appeared
in 2009.

The actual aircraft has the names of the personel who created the art and body paint on the
long door of the nose gear. Unfortunately I have not been able to locate those details so they remain
to be added. If anyone does have that information and could contact me with it I will update the skin.

This skin depicts an F-18A Hornet that was flown by the Naval Air Test Centre at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland,
commonly called "Pax River".

It is depicted as it appeared in May of 1986 during the 75th Anniversary of US Naval Aviation as indicated by the two small commemorative
badges on the tail fins.

This skin depicts a Hornet that was actually flown by VFA-106 Gladiators but painted in the colours
of VFA-15 "Valions" to commemorate the deactivation of VFA-15 in 2017 after 75 years of service.

The colour scheme is in the style of the A-7E Corsairs that VFA-15 flew prior to transitioning to the Hornet.

The inner surfaces of both vertical tails bare the names and dates of command of every C.O. of the "Valions"
during that 75 years.
