The F-5E was developed in the early 1970s as a light tactical fighter. It is an upgraded version of the earlier F-5A. Combat roles of the F-5E include both air-to-air and unguided ground attack. In the United States, it has excelled as an aggressor. Given its mission flexibility, ease of operation, and low cost, the F-5E continues to serve air forces including Iran, Switzerland, and others.
The F-5Е is armed with two 20 mm М39-А3 cannons, each with 280 rounds. The cannons are in the nose section and include deflectors that direct hot gas away from the engine inlets. Each cannon has a firing rate of 1,500 to 1,700 rounds per minute.
Wingtips incorporates a launcher rail capable of firing AIM-9 infrared-guided missiles.
Five hard points (one centerline pylon and four underwing pylons) allow carriage of bombs, cluster munitions, and rockets. To extend the range, external fuel tanks can be attached to three wet points (a centerline pylon and two inboard pylons). Maneuverability and speed can be maximized in combat by jettisoning all external stores.

Black Sea Resolve is a fictional story-based campaign that will test your air-to-air and air-to-ground skills in a variety of missions while you confront the Soviet Union forces in the emerging conflict.
It is the 1st of March 1979. Your F-5E squadron is being deployed to Krasnodar to support the UN resolution for the Independence of the former Soviet Union provinces. In a rather moderate response, US president Jimmy Carter and the other NATO countries are deploying a force consisting of elements from 9th Infantry Division, 6th Cavalry Air Brigade and a MAU from 1st Marine Division. USAF is preparing 3 squadrons of F5-E and 2 squadrons of F4-E to provide air support.

The F-5E Aggressors ACM campaign puts you in the cockpit of an F-5E Tiger II, as a new Aggressor pilot with the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base. Based on real world procedures you will fly as Red Air against Blue Air Forces.
You will face a series of challenging Air Combat Maneuver (ACM) missions against dis-similar aircraft. Your opponents include the F-4E, F-5E, F-14A, F-15C, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, M-2000C, MiG-29G, CF-188, MiG-21 and unknown.
Additionally there are 11 single player practice missions with in-air starts so you can perfect your ACM tactics and techniques.

Due to its high adaptability, versatility and for its time, unparalleled capabilities, it quickly turned into the main workhorse for all 3 branches and spread beyond the borders of the United States, going on to serve and protect 12 nations across the world, with Phantoms still in operation today. Its production ran from 1958 to 1981, and with nigh 5200 Phantoms built, it became the most produced supersonic US military aircraft in the history, solidifying its place as one of the most recognizable and well known aircraft of the cold war era.

The General Dynamics F-16C ‘Viper’ is a high-performance, single-seat multirole combat aircraft that excels not only as an air superiority fighter, but also in the ground attack, precision bombing, SEAD and reconnaissance roles.
For air-to-air combat the F-16C is armed with AIM-9L/M/P/X Sidewinder missiles, AIM-120B/C AMRAAMs and an internal, six-barrel, M61A-1 20mm Gatling Gun firing 4-6,000 rounds per minute. An advanced airframe and fly-by-wire system mean the Viper can pull 9g, while the F110-GE-129 engine powers it to a maximum speed of more than Mach 2.
