This module includes an F4U-1D Corsair aircraft, Essex class aircraft carrier and 8 WWII Imperial Japanese ground units.
F4U-1D Corsair
The Vought F4U Corsair is an American fighter aircraft that saw prominent service primarily in World War II and the Korean War. Originally designed and manufactured by Chance Vought, the Corsair's exceptional performance led to substantial demand; consequently, additional production contracts were awarded to Goodyear (whose Corsairs were designated FG) and Brewster (designated F3A).
Primarily conceived and operated as a carrier-based aircraft, the Corsair was introduced in significant numbers with the U.S. Navy and Marines during World War II. It rapidly established itself as one of the conflict's most capable carrier-based fighter-bombers.
Essex-class aircraft carrier (WWII era)
The Essex-class aircraft carrier, a pivotal component of US naval power during World War II, stands as the most numerous class of capital ships of the 20th century. Comprising 24 vessels, the class featured both "short-hull" and "long-hull" configurations. Fourteen of these carriers actively participated in combat operations during World War II. Remarkably, none were lost due to enemy action, although several sustained significant damage from aerial assaults. Essex-class carriers formed the backbone of the U.S. Navy from mid-1943. Supplemented by the three Midway-class carriers introduced shortly after the war, they remained central to U.S. naval strength until the advent of supercarriers in the 1950s.

The F-5E was developed in the early 1970s as a light tactical fighter. It is an upgraded version of the earlier F-5A. Combat roles of the F-5E include both air-to-air and unguided ground attack. In the United States, it has excelled as an aggressor. Given its mission flexibility, ease of operation, and low cost, the F-5E continues to serve air forces including Iran, Switzerland, and others.
The F-5Е is armed with two 20 mm М39-А3 cannons, each with 280 rounds. The cannons are in the nose section and include deflectors that direct hot gas away from the engine inlets. Each cannon has a firing rate of 1,500 to 1,700 rounds per minute.
Wingtips incorporates a launcher rail capable of firing AIM-9 infrared-guided missiles.

1985 - Following a sudden shift in Soviet leadership, the USSR abandoned détente and launched a full-scale invasion of Western Europe. West Germany fell within days, and most of the German Air Force was wiped out on the ground. Only a handful of squadrons managed to escape to Britain, regrouping for NATO’s last stand.
With Central Europe in flames, the Soviet war machine turned north. The Soviets goal: control of Scandinavia and the North Atlantic, cutting off NATO’s supply lines and forcing the West into submission.
In a desperate bid to halt the advance, NATO formed the Task Force Northern Defenders—a coalition of land, sea, and air units drawn from across the alliance. Among them, the remnants of the German Luftwaffe, hastily reformed and thrown into the fight.
