DCS: F-100D Super Sabre Development Report

By Grinnelli Designs

F-100D Super Sabre

We are excited to announce that the DCS: F-100D Super Sabre by Grinnelli Designs is nearing release. As the first USAF fighter to achieve sustained supersonic, level flight flight, the F-100D marks a major leap into the jet age, and it played a key role in Vietnam where it was tasked with both fighter and ground-attack missions. With major milestones complete, the module is in its final preparation stages.

F-100D Super Sabre

Art development is nearly done, with detailed texture work and precise 3D modelling achieved based on high-fidelity photogrammetry scans of an actual F-100D airframe. This process ensures that all surface details, panel lines, and rivets are consistent with the original aircraft. Expect a variety of historically accurate liveries that includes both USAF stateside training squadrons and Vietnam War combat markings.

All core systems are in place, and the team is now polishing small details. Flight model tuning is also in its final phase, and Grinnelli Designs and Eagle Dynamics are working together to adjust the F-100D’s unique handling that includes its impressive high-speed performance to its famously tricky low-speed behaviour. The damage model is also being finished to ensure your combat experience is as immersive and authentic as possible.

Audio development is well underway, and the team is processing and integrating final recordings from a real F-100. You’ll soon be able to hear the unique sounds of the J57 engine as heard from the cockpit and helmet, greatly improving your DCS experience.

The module is in Eagle Dynamics internal testing, and the focus is on identifying and resolving any remaining issues to ensure a stable, high-quality release for you.

We are preparing for launch in close coordination with Eagle Dynamics. Stay tuned for more updates as the DCS: F-100D Super Sabre nears your hangar.

DCS: A-10C II Outpost Part II Campaign

by Stone Sky

Outpost Part II

Stone Sky’s DCS: A-10C II Outpost Part II Campaign will be available in the next DCS update, and it will bring the OUTPOST series to a powerful conclusion. As part of the 74th and 163rd Fighter Squadrons, take part in the  conflict over DCS: Syria as it escalates into a larger, high-stakes confrontation. Featuring the return of familiar voices like Mark “Rattler” Barnes and Steven “Bomber” Rovinsky, this final chapter delivers a narrative-driven combat experience defined by changing alliances, growing pressure, and the fog of modern war.

Set against a volatile geopolitical backdrop, Syria has evolved into more than a war zone; it is now a strategic flashpoint between global powers. As tensions rise, U.S. and coalition forces face a complex adversary composed of Syrian military forces and a near-peer force using a Russian-like doctrine. Following missile strikes on Incirlik and intensifying clashes near Deir ez-Zor, your unit is redeployed to Jordan with orders to push toward Damascus. Expect an ever-changing battlefield across the region, both on land and in the air.

Stone Sky’s careful approach to mission design is on full display. Each sortie is created to reflect operational realism while maintaining accessibility and blending structured objectives with emerging threats. From high-value target strikes and close air support to unanticipated system failures and rapidly changing weather conditions, every mission demands discipline, adaptability, and precision flying.

This campaign is built for depth, and it includes five large phases that are each divided into mission segments. You will experience extended operations without sacrificing pacing. More than 1,500 lines of voice-acted radio communication, extensive documentation, and detailed briefings provide the context and immersion expected from a top-tier DCS campaign. VR-friendly controls and scalable difficulty ensure that both experienced pilots and DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer rookies can thoroughly engage with the experience.

Key Features:

  • CAS, strikes on HVTs and special missions
  • Five large-scale phases, through 11 missions, split into 80–90 minute parts for optimal pacing
  • Weather changes, ground and in-flight emergencies
  • Liveries for the DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer (163rd FS) and others
  • VR-friendly control (spacebar or joystick-mapped button)
  • Over 1,500 lines of voice-over radio dialogue
  • 100+ pages of documentation and kneeboard materials
  • Detailed briefings, mission history, and background context

If you are looking to put your DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer skills to the test in a richly detailed, story-driven environment, Outpost Part II delivers a compelling and authentic operational experience from beginning to finish.
