Quick Action Generator

UI

Weapons

  • Introduced advanced model for R-27 missile family. Missiles got new CFD-based flight model, authentic control system that includes wing actuator model, altitude band-switching autopilot, Kalman-type guidance filters (different for IR and RF versions) which also drive seeker gimbal mechanics, INS and datalink system with realistic inaccuracies (for RF missile only), and RF or IR seeker. New semiactive RF seeker provides 'multitarget' tracking feature. This means that RF signals from several distinct targets will interfere and form one bigger apparent target once they simultaneously fall into the missile tracking gate. This apparent target may lead the missile between real targets in a target group, or to dispensed chaff. It also may steal missile velocity tracking gate and break guidance. R-27 proximity fuze now has a conical antennas pattern and variable explosion command delay to adjust for target size and closure rate. And, in addition, missiles got number of limitations caused by control systems design. For example RF missile can not be launched with roll angle exceeding 120 degrees because of gimbaled INS roll limit.

  • Mk-20/CBU-99. Improved bombsight accuracy. Please note that using FMU-140 in low-altitude horizontal flight bombing runs will lead to poor accuracy - in these cases Mk 339 fuze must be used. FMU-140 should provide acceptable accuracy in dive bombing runs and, in specific conditions, in horizontal flight bombing runs (function altitude set to ca. 1/3 of release altitude and specific airspeed at release, e.g. function altitude - 3 kft, release altitude - 10 kft, TAS - 580 kts)
  • Mk-20/CBU-99. Fixed Mk 339 fuze function delay being counted down after arming instead of after release
  • BL755. Added fuze function delay options
  • GMLRS. Added animation of rotation of the tail stabilizers block
  • BetAB-500ShP. Improved bombsight accuracy in normal release conditions (release at 500 m altitude)
  • Fixed non-detonation of bombs in certain conditions
  • Fixed IRIS-T missiles constantly switching between command and IR guidance, which caused them to miss.

Terrain Engine

  • Tuned lazy loading of 3D models. We already had asynchronous loading in place, and this update adds complementary optimizations to ensure only the models needed in the current situation are loaded. This should slightly improve loading times in both the Mission Editor and mission startup.

Voice chat

  • Fixed. Crash on exiting from DCS when the “Pending request” window is open.

Launcher

  • Added. Help page with access to FAQ, User support, myReach AI helper, etc.

DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum by Eagle Dynamics

First week patch updates:

  • The animations for the cannon trigger and the missile trigger to be swapped.
  • Lock indication is not resetting after lock break. But logic is working correctly and radar stops locking.
  • Air intake louvers animation corrections.
  • Provide lower resolution textures cockpit option
  • CHAFF/FLARE sequence corrections.
  • When repairing after a wheels up landing, the repair completes, but the landing gear is not lowered, so after repair you are dropped back on your belly, negating the repair.
  • IFF issues for clients connected to the mission hosted on a dedicated server. Single Player or Self-hosted servers do not have this issue.
  • Controls Indicator overlay (RCTRL+ENTER) missing
  • 3D model damage WIP (first iteration)
  • Additional English HUD/HDD version (fictional for convenience)

Known issues to be patched:

  • Autopilot-induced oscillations, mostly visual on stick, no effect on flight path below 600 KpH
  • Landing/taxi lights issues - the light from penetrates into the model.
  • Brake chute is not visible for other clients in multiplayer, physics working correctly 
  • When using FCR, missile launch is not blocked in the absence of a LA signal on the HUD/HDD.
  • Ejection sequence and animation improvements.
  • Cannon muzzle flash improvement
  • Ejected cartridge animation
  • The logic of the CAJ (Compensation Active Jammer) switch is not implemented when working with jamming.
  • Imperial units cockpit version IAS indicator animation issue with Mach number.

DCS: F/A-18C Hornet by Eagle Dynamics 

  • Fixed: Odd target designation/undesignation behavior due to MSI.
  • Fixed: Center pylon mounted LITENING will continue to work if jettisoned.
  • Fixed: Radar Contributed SURV tracks in TWS do not switch to full size HAFU's, enveloped by the radar circle.
  • Fixed: The HAFU tracks start interfering with each other for the same target and sometimes doesn't even show that it's an L&S or DT2 target even though it is.
  • Fixed: JDAM with FMU-152 Wrong EFUZ options.

  • Fixed: George stuck on a search loop under a certain flow.
  • FM. Tweaked Yaw SCAS: Some users complained about excessive yaw-wobble during control by pedals and in transient modes when the helicopter's SCAS Heading Hold mode is ON.

DCS: Mi-24P Hind by Eagle Dynamics

  • Fixed Glitched texture blocks that were obstructing side gunner view
    • The detection range now depends on radar peak power not its own detection range, older radars will be detected from further away purely because they use higher peak power to compensate for bad processing and low PRF (and it's the peak power that matters for this device not the average, average power matters for the radar, not the RWR).
    • Directivity patterns now are simulated, so the FOV of each sector changes with signal power and thus range - at low signal power there are deadzones at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, at high signal power you will have like 3 sectors lit by the same signal
    • At high signal power level, particularly against slow-scanning radars you will see the effect of side lobes passing over (either multiple pings, or visible gradual increase and then drop in power level as evidenced by additional sectors lighting up and dropping while the sector closest to source stays lit)
    • Radar scan period is now replicated
    • SPO-10 will reject any radar with PRF below 780
    • Radars with PRF below 8000 will have their detection range drop with the increase of PRF
    • CW radars (Hawk) will not be detected

NOTE: AN/ASP-33 Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) Update: Although our hope and intention was to release this new targeting pod for the Viper by the end of Quarter 2 of 2025, it requires a bit more time in testing to ensure a quality release that will include new features like Multi-Target Tracking (MTT), Picture-in-Picture that combines the infrared and TV cameras, Extended Range (XR) functions, and more. This targeting pod is planned for release in summer 2025.

  • Reduced Sidewinder and Magic missiles launch preparation times, when those are launched unarmed (jettisoned for example).

Systems:

  • Both radio channels selectors now have a delay before repetitive action is started, when those are activated by the corresponding 'clockwise' and 'counterclockwise' input commands.
  • Improved Optical Sight font readability, removed font artifacts at lower zooms.

  • Fixed not working 4 stations ripple launches.
  • Airspeed indicator reference bug now has unrestricted 360 degrees rotation.
  • The standby horizon is now remaining caged when pulling the knob and turning it fully clockwise.

  • Flight Model: Significant improvements to feel and accuracy, especially in landing and takeoff scenarios:
    • Improved the stabilator simulation in ground effect - reduced the effectiveness very close to the ground and at high pitch angles.
    • Minor adjustments to the airflow around the AoA probe with landing gear down. On speed should be slightly faster now.
  • Flight Model: Reduced slat induced pitch oscillations when slowly passing the slat deployment/retraction AoA range. This should eliminate some of the “porpoising” that could happen when flying in specific airspeeds and AoAs. 
  • Flight Model: Improved the slats overcenter simulation.
  • Systems: Fixed cockpit pressure initial value at hot start, which could also cause JESTER to freak out at high altitudes.
  • Systems: Fixed the location of the landing gear limit switches and the related landing door operations issues like an occasionally stuck inner door.
  • Systems: Tuned the pressure regulators of the hydraulic pumps to keep the max pressure closer to 3000 psi. 
  • Systems: Fixed hydraulic pressure drops caused by a bug in pressure calculations for some components (tubes and manifolds) residing behind a closed valve.

  • Night Lighting: Made a pass to improve night lighting visuals, distances and extant issues, including:

    • Improved distance at which nav/collision lighting is visible across most LoDs.
    • Fixed formation lights (slimelights) disappearing on wingtips beyond 100m. 
    • Fixed wingtip lights not moving with wings with distant LODs.
  • Forrestal: First pass to significantly improve Forrestal class lighting system:
    • IFLOLS is not visible from the sides anymore.

  • Increased refueling probe light distance; the basket should now be more visible when doing AAR at night.

DCS Mirage F1 by Aerges

General:

  • Module options are taken from the server mission now only for F1BE in multiplayer, and when it has 'Solo Flight' option disabled. In all other cases the options are read from local settings.
  • Added shortcut for ‘Ready for pre-contact’ radio message to tanker.

Systems:

  • Fixed IFF panel being non-clickable in multiplayer missions.
  • Navigation and formation lights should now be correctly visible on other clients in multiplayer.
  • Fixed external animations that were stopped once the pilot ejected. It was especially noticeable with navigation lights in 'flash' operating mode. Other affected animations are landing and refueling lights (F1EE).

Weapons:

  • Fixed bug that prevented radar missile launch in auto mode.
  • R550 pylon fire safety flap now, once retracted, doesn’t extend anymore when IAS drops below 150 kts.
  • Fixed Sidewinder audio being not heard, when only the left wingtip pylon had a missile loaded.
  • AIM-9B and AIM-9P missiles now can be launched only when g load is less than 6G.
  • R550 missile launch can be activated now with intermittent track (i.e. with chopped lock tone). The missile will be actually launched once the steady track was established.
  • R550 intermittent to steady track transition time now depends on the target off boresight angle at the moment when it was detected.
  • Implemented R550 missile 30 degrees wide scan. The currently existing 5 degrees narrow scan (boresight scan) is enabled while "Cannon 300-600m and missile lock/unlock button" is held pressed.
  • R550 and SW missiles can be locked now and missile audio can be heard with Master Arm in OFF. In these conditions the missiles can't be launched, and the missiles status will not be displayed on the Optical Sight.
  • R550, SW, and R530 IR missiles will not be displayed as ready on the Optical Sight, before their gyros spin up is complete.
  • R550 missiles will not be emergency jettisoned until the pylons safety flaps are in (once IAS is greater than 150 kts).
