The F-100D is an incredible and historic aircraft that challenges even the most skilled virtual pilots in the DCS skies!
This module offers a highly detailed recreation of the F-100D, developed using extensive photography, photogrammetry, and laser scanning of actual airframes. The aircraft features four 20 mm M39 cannons, AIM-9 Sidewinders, rockets, conventional bombs, napalm, cluster munitions, and the AGM-45 Shrike anti-radiation missile. A fully modelled Fire Control System, including ranging radar, gyroscopic gunsight, and early computer-assisted bombing, equips you for a wide range of missions.
Beyond its weaponry, the DCS: F-100D provides a comprehensive simulation of the aircraft’s electrical, hydraulic, navigation, engine, and warning systems. The AN/APR-25 Radar Homing and Warning Receiver is modelled with realistic radar signal simulation and realistic threat audio, improving the look and feel of your Cold War combat experience.
Additional features include configurable strike and gun cameras, multiple engine and afterburner configurations, realistic brake temperature modelling, dynamic damage, interactive training missions, and the unique Zero Length Launch system, which enables rapid deployment from a stationary position, a first in DCS! These items are designed to provide the most authentic F-100D experience possible.
