As a preparation for the next "Beacon Map" generation I´ve compiled a list of all available navigation and radio equipment from every cockpit.

Next subgoal will be a step by step instruction for the use of every individual navigational aircraft system.

As soon as the reworked and newly developed DCS maps are in a final and public state, I´ll begin to rework the Beacon Maps.

Based on the DCS: World 2.0 mission editor map, I´ve prepared a BEACON MAP that shows the exact positions of NDBs, VORTACs, RSBNs, TACAN and ILS. It is currently much work in progress, so improvement suggestions are welcome.

You have to use the beacon map preferred with Windows Photo Viewer (easy zoom function with mouse wheel, fast image formation) on a separate monitor / laptop computer. An alternative solution may be the use on a tablet or a mobile phone.

This checkilsts are based on the "T.O. 1T-L39C-1" technical manual for the aircraft. As soon as the L-39 module leaves the closed beta state, I´ll implement some adaptions according with the simulation. In the meantime, you can make yourself familiar with the straightforward procedures and systems of the Albatros.

Ich beschäftige mich seit einiger Zeit mit dem effektiven Einsatz (und der Abwehr) der in DCS verfügbaren Luft-Luft Lenkflugkörper. Mein Ziel ist es nun, einen kleinen Ratgeber zusammenzustellen, der auch Anfängern die Grundlagen zu diesem Thema näher bringt.

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass im Forum häufig die gleichen Fragen zu diesem Thema gestellt werden und eine (einfache) Antwort sehr schwer fällt und oft nur im Kontext mit anderen Bereichen angemessen beantwortet werden kann.

Insofern ist das Ziel dieser Zusammenstellung, diese Sachverhalte ausführlich und nachvollziehbar darzustellen.
