This is a helicopter focused sandbox mission. You have a list of tasks (red circles on F10), but no set order you need to do them.
All objectives are active at once so plan your routes. This mission is intended as a Co-op mission for 2-5 people.
Dynamic Spawns are included for this. I've added a few Static Spawns if you want to play single player.
This mission is focused on the Mi-24 and was built as a proving ground for trying out a bunch of different combat styles and weapons. That doesn't mean you can't bring along friends in anything else though, so bring your friends and have fun.
A modified Splash Damage Script is built into the mission.
These missions are all unique with hand placed objectives and randomization. No script placed units.
List of Objectives:
- Provide CAS to surrounded troops
- Shoot a bunch of boats
- Recapture EWR
- Destroy Insurgent Camps
- Capture FARPs
- Raid an Airbase
- Destroy Armor Convoys
- More?
There is a modified Splash Damage script included.
Additional Tips:
------------------------------------------
Read the Map Drawings and briefing text for more information on your objectives.
Watch for patrolling random enemies. The area can still be dangerous even if you're not near an objective area.
Capturing the FARP objective gives you a new Spawn Location. Destroying all enemies at a FARP will capture it.
Don't mess with Hama until you're ready.
Blast the buildings the POWs are held in so they can escape, just make sure they're clear and watch your fire.
Some objectives will require you to pick up and drop off troops. This can be done with the DCS native (Not CTLD) embarking, F10>Airborne Troops. If it doesn't work, get closer (~>50m)
This is a mission I've had and worked on for a long time. I'm just now uploading this, along with some other similar missions I've been sitting on for a long time. Don't expect support, but the mission triggers should be easy to figure out if you've got time in the Editor.
You may modify and host this mission as you desire, just give credit to me and link back to the original mission in the user files.
