This mission "Deployment" is the number 1 of "Operation Fugu" campaign is inspired by the "Operation Diodon" mission during the Lebanon war from 1982 to 1984.
The Multinational Security Force in Lebanon was created in September 1982 at the Lebanese request to the Secretary General of the United Nations and dissolved in March 1984 following the double attack against the French and American contingents.
Assignment:help the Lebanese army restore the authority of its government in and around Beirut. Ensuring the safety of civilian populations.
Four countries made up this multinational force: the United States, France, Italy and the United Kingdom. A strong naval presence ensuring their support off Lebanon.
The war is complex, marked by rifts between religious communities, militias, phalanxes, traffickers, and by foreign interventions (Syria, Arab League, Israel, Iran, etc...).
This Campaign is part of this context of both "neither war nor peace" with a wide variety of helicopter missions

The mission 1 of this campaign begins with civil operations (gendarmerie mission) but military interventions will be reproduced dans ce context.

You are a gendarmerie helicopter pilot officer, your role in this mission is to drop commandos on the roof of Chekka air base checkpoint in Wujah Al Ajar. Your crew consists of 3 personnel, you pilot, Petrowitch navigator and missile operator at the front and Nolan gunner at the rear. The commandos are 8, including snipers, and radio transmission specialists to ensure rapid air control of the base.
The operation must take place quickly because the deployment of a helicopter squadron on this base has been the subject of secret negotiations with Lebanese officials.Initially the deployment should have been in the suburbs of Tripoli, but considering the state of tension in the region, it seemed necessary to deploy units in a safer place. The chekka base is ideal, located on a plateau immediately on the coast, securing it, the logistics are much easier in the face of a possible attack. In addition, the facilities are ideal for a helicopter squadron. The command therefore decided to invest this base "by surprise" with the agreement of the local authorities.
A very precise plan provides for taking possession of this aerodrome and securing it in less than an hour, from the assault ship "Mistral".
First, commandos and officials will be helicoptered to the site for an official handover. In a second time a landing by sea will take place at the foot of the base to land and convey all the material necessary for the establishment of this base.
The whole operation must take place according to a precise timing !
