“Unique” is the best word to describe VMFA-314, otherwise known as the ‘Black Knights’. One of the small handful of Fighter squadrons in the Osean Marine Corps, the Black Knights have the distinction of being one of two squadrons assigned to a Carrier Air Wing instead of a Marine Air Group. As a result, the pilots of VMFA-314 have earned a reputation, both on the OFS Vulture, and the Corps as being a cut above the rest.
While attached to the Seventh Carrier Air Wing, the Marines have been able to participate in dozens of operations in both peacetime and in the war against Erusea in 2019. During Operation Vigilant Lookout, the Black Knights flew around the clock, providing over 3000 combat hours flying over eastern Usea to help secure the skies from Erusean bombing raids during the war.
Whether the mission is air-to-air, or supporting the Marines on the ground, the Black Knights are always up to the task.
